Read MoreA journal is a listener who never judges, and a powerful tool for mental wellbeing. Journalling requires us to put life’s events and experiences into words, a form of therapy in itself. After we write we can turn the page, returning to challenging feelings when we are ready.
The words journal and journey both originate in the French jour – day. By telling our day, we begin to notice patterns in our feelings: the interactions and experiences that bring us joy, inspiring us onwards on our journey; and those that provoke the discomfort and anxieties that thwart our growth.
At Lifetime we support others as they work to alter the thoughts, situations and habits that hinder them, rooting our practice in the humanist values we believe are integral to the peace of mental wellness.
In 2019, Lifetime’s founder, Malachy Dunne, was asked to become a columnist for Cornwall Today. In his uplifting monthly essays for the magazine, Malachy considers the challenges presented by topical issues and encourages readers to nurture their relationships with themselves and others through these principles.
