Eben Barlow
Empowerment . Creativity . Understanding
In my role as a counsellor, I have seen how a therapeutic space cultivates change and growth.
How under the right conditions, anyone has the chance to experience healing, understanding, and acceptance.
I use the person-centred approach to help create the conditions and connections for this growth.
The landscape of the world is changing. As such I have focused much of my work to cultivating a practice that has worked with many differences such as LGBTQIA+ issues and Neurodivergence including Autism and ADHD in order to build a practice that is both open and forward thinking. I have also worked extensively with the 16-19 age range in areas where some clients have felt they may have not been seen or understood by others supporting them.
With compassion and empathy, I offer a space to allow for a supported and safe exploration of self. Whether that is in person or online, the therapy I offer is built on the idea that you are the expert on yourself. I am not there to tell you what to do, I am there to listen, support, and guide you to a place where you feel therapeutic change in yourself.
I spend my free time listening to podcasts and audiobooks, playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends, and looking after my wobbly cat called Cricket.
